Hi everyone! This week I want to share with you about my most memorable trip - 难忘的旅行.

最近我在巴黎旅行一周

wǒ chīle fǎguó cài
我吃了法国菜

bāokuò yángcōng tāng, niúpái shǔtiáo děng
包括洋葱汤，牛排薯条等。

wǒ chángshì dāngdì de shíwù
我尝试当地的食物，

gǎnshòu xīn de jīnglì
感受新的经历。

I recently traveled in Paris. 
I had French food,
including onion soup, steak fries and more.
I tried local food,
and had new experiences.

dàn chūmén zàiwài yǒushí huì xiǎngniàn shúxī de shìwù
但出门在外有时会想念熟悉的事物。

yúshì wǒ qùle yígè zhōngcāntīng, chī zhōngguó cài
于是我去了一个中餐厅，吃中国菜。

wǒmen diǎnle má pó dòufu, shuǐ zhǔ niúròu,
我们点了麻婆豆腐，水煮牛肉，

dōu shì wǒ ài chī de zhōng cān.
都是我爱吃的中餐。

But being away from home can sometimes make you miss the familiar things.
So I went to a Chinese restaurant and had Chinese food.
We ordered mapo tofu, boiled beef. 
They are all my favorite Chinese food.

běnlái wǒ dānxīn wèidào kěnéng bú zhèngzōng, 
本来我担心味道可能不正宗，

méi xiǎngdào wèidào hěn dìdào 
没想到味道很地道。

wǒ chī dé hěn kāixīn 
我吃得很开心。

ràng wǒ yíxià zi yǒule jiā de gǎnjué
让我一下子有了家的感觉。

I was worried that the taste might not be authentic.
Unexpectedly, the taste is very authentic.
I had a good time eating. 
It made me feel at home all of a sudden.

zhè ràng wǒ xiǎngdào guòqù wǒ yígè rén qù mòxīgē lǚxíng. 
这让我想到过去我一个人去墨西哥旅行。

nà shì 2016 nián de xiàtiān. 
那是2016年的夏天。

wǒ zhǐ xuéle jǐ jù xībānyá yǔ, 
我只学了几句西班牙语，

jiù zhīshēn fēi dàole mòxīgē chéng. 
就只身飞到了墨西哥城。

zài yígè mòshēng de chéngshì, 
在一个陌生的城市, 

mòshēng de yǔyán huánjìng,
陌生的语言环境，

wǒ jì xīngfèn yòu jǐnzhāng. 
我既兴奋又紧张。

It reminds me of my trip to Mexico in the past by myself.
It was the summer of 2016.
I only learned a few words of Spanish. 
I just flew to Mexico City alone.
In a strange city,
and unfamiliar language environment,
I was both excited and nervous.

dàole zhù de Airbnb, xiūxile yí huǐ 
到了住的Airbnb, 休息了一会

wǒ chūmén kàn dào fùjìn yǒu yígè xīngbākè,
我出门看到附近有一个星巴克，

wǒ jìnqù diǎnle yìbēi kāfēi. 
我进去点了一杯咖啡。

xīngbākè li yǒuzhe shúxī de yǐnpǐn. 
星巴克里有着熟悉的饮品。

nàlǐ de rén huì shuō yīngyǔ. 
那里的人会说英语。

wǒ yíxià zi juéde ānxīn duōle. 
我一下子觉得安心多了。

zhǎodàole yì zhǒng shúxī de ānquán gǎn. 
找到了一种熟悉的安全感。

zhè ràng wǒ gèng fàngsōng de qù tànsuǒ zhège chéngshì. 
这让我更放松的去探索这个城市。

Arriving at the Airbnb where I lived, I took a rest for a while.
I went out and saw a Starbucks nearby. 
I went in and ordered a cup of coffee.
The Starbucks had familiar drinks. 
The people there could speak English,
I suddenly felt more at ease.
I found a familiar sense of security.
It made me more relaxed to explore the city.

hòulái wǒ zài jiē páng de xiǎo tān shàng diǎn tacos, 
后来我在街旁的小摊上点tacos，

pǐncháng dāngdì shuǐguǒ 
品尝当地水果。

yǒu bú huì shuō de xībānyá yǔcí,
有不会说的西班牙语词,

wǒ jiù ná chū suíshēn dài de cídiǎn,
我就拿出随身带的词典，

zhǐzhe wǒ xiǎng shuō de cí gěi duìfāng kàn.
指着我想说的词给对方看。

Later, I ordered tacos at a street stall,
and tasted local fruit. 
When there were Spanish words I could't speak,
I took out the dictionary I carried with me,
pointing to the word I wanted to say to the other person.

wǒ de mòxīgē chéng tànxiǎn fēicháng bàng,
我的墨西哥城探险非常棒。

zhídào jīntiān zhè dōu shì wǒ zuì xiǎngshòu de lǚxíng. 
直到今天这都是我最享受的旅行。

yīnwèi zài zhège dìfāng, 
因为在这个地方，

wǒ zǒuchūle zìjǐ de shūshì quān, 
我走出了自己的舒适圈，

gǎnshòu dàole wánquán bùtóng de yǔyán hé wénhuà. 
感受到了完全不同的语言和文化。

zhè duì wǒ ér yán shì yì chǎng zhēnzhèng de màoxiǎn.
这对我而言是一场真正的冒险。

My Mexico City adventure was great.
To this day this is my most enjoyable trip.
Because in this place,
I stepped out of my comfort zone,
and experienced a completely different language and culture.
This is a real adventure for me.
