你的新年愿望非常好,Meiling! I hope you enjoy fulfilling them! I don't really do the new year resolutions thing, but there are some things I am doing anyway having had a break over the Christmas and New Year holiday. I have joined a readalong on Substack: we are reading the novel 'War and Peace', by Leo Tolstoy over the year—a chapter a day (there are 361 chapters)! It is great fun and there is a chat thread every day. I also exercise at home every day to keep fit and rotate different forms of exercise often using YouTube videos. I am 65 and am determined to keep fit for the rest of my life—I notice it straight away if I don't keep up mobility and stretching routines in particular. I love walking, but the weather keeps us inside a lot at this time of year. I had a bit of a break over the holiday with Chinese, but now I am back and have set myself a reading challenge for February—I am reading a Chinese story or article every day. I am using your post for today!😁 All the very best with your plans for this year and I look forward to your next post! Have a WONDERFUL 春节!我祝你和你的家人春节快乐!🎊🧨🐉🎉
谢谢Debbie! 春节快乐!It's amazing that you keep reading and exercising at your age. In Chinese we have a saying, "活到老学到老“ (live and learn), which I think it's perfect to describe what you do👏 Happy to hear you are using my post for your reading challenge:) Where are your go to places to read Chinese stories and articles?
My 2024 goal is to be a bit more focused. I got a little complacent since being in a relationship (though overall it has been fantastic), so ideally this year I can be more productive and also maintain my wonderful relationship.
I have now more well defined what I want to get done each day and then every week I've been checking how well I've been doing and how I feel. So far January has been a very good month! But it was like this last year.. we'll see if I can keep it up.
For friends, you know that quote "fail early and often?" I think always now think: "invite early and often"
Thanks for your YouTube videos. Hope you have a good year

I use the DuChinese app. It has good graded articles and a good flashcard facility which also links to my Pleco dictionary. I like 活到老学到老!😁❤️
Nice! I will check out the app. 加油!

Keep up the great work! I like "invite early and often" haha. I do UX design and we always say "test early and often" in the process.
